Antique Oak Hand Painted Dressing Table

This beautiful antique oak dressing table was definitely showing its age. Splinters, scratches, stains, rings from old perfume bottles and a damaged leg…it needed some serious TLC. But after some light restoration, repairs and sanding, it revealed its natural beauty. Now stripped back to showcase the original design, the main body has been sanded back to the bare wood and waxed for protection. The edging and details have been painted in Fusion Mineral Paint’s ‘Champlain’; a warm creamy tone. The original Art Nouveau style handles have been buffed with silver wax to enhance their elegant design. Lastly, the wood has been embellished with a beautiful bird and blossom transfer that contrasts perfectly with the natural grain of the wood. Pretty, feminine, understated and classy; this gorgeous antique dressing table would be a centrepiece in any bedroom.
