Sometimes it’s all about finding the right piece….

My customer wanted a pair of bedside tables inspired by Sri Lanka and featuring elephants.
This funky Emma Shipley wallpaper was the perfect choice for the brief. But I also needed to source some bedside tables with that elusive extra ’something’…
When I found this (ugly, chipped, yellowing) pair, I knew they had AMAZING potential. They needed to be stripped right down but the structure was perfect. I’ve never been to Sri Lanka but I have spent quite a bit of time in India…the arches and columns reminded me of the palaces and temples I visited in Rajasthan and we decided to make a real feature out of them.
