This tallboy was looking a bit dated – its original varnish finish was a little on the orange side.  So…it was stripped to the bare wood and then covered with a Cappuccino Oil Stain.  Using a stain rather than paint allows the wood grain to really stand out.  The stain was then buffed and polished to achieve a subtle sheen.  Gold leaf detail and new brass drawer pulls have turned this into a seriously sophisticated little piece.
