COMMISSION – Art Deco Dressing Table

An original Shrager Art Deco dressing table that was heavily stained, scratched and marked…this piece needed to be completely stripped back and sanded down.  Meticulous sanding revealed a stunning walnut burl veneer – its mesmerising pattern enhanced and protected with Hemp Oil.  The main body was painted in a custom-blended dusky pink and muted blue. The doors and drawers were decoupaged in the gorgeous ‘Deco Martini’ (Blush) by Divine Savages. The Deco motif is echoed across the front drawers with a cut out fan, edged in rose gold leaf and oiled to bring out the pattern in the wood grain. Vintage copper handles complete the look.

One of the most exciting features of this piece is the hidden top drawer. The drawer features a pull out make up mirror and the side compartments have been refreshed with pink velvet fabric.
